About the Role

Our client, a premium hospitality venue in Malta, is seeking a professional and personable Hostess to serve as the first point of contact for guests. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who takes pride in creating a warm and memorable first impression. You will play a key role in ensuring guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrive, managing reservations and seating, and supporting the smooth operation of the front-of-house team.

What is expected of you?

• Welcome and greet guests in a warm, professional, and friendly manner upon arrival
• Manage reservations, seating plans, and waiting lists efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortably settled
• Communicate effectively with the floor team to coordinate seating and manage service flow
• Provide guests with accurate information about the menu, daily specials, and venue facilities
• Handle guest enquiries and requests promptly and professionally
• Manage telephone and online reservations accurately
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception and entrance area
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Support the wider front-of-house team with additional duties as required

What are you expected to bring?

• Previous experience in a Hostess, Front-of-House, or customer-facing hospitality role is preferred
• A warm, professional, and guest-focused approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A well-presented and polished appearance
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset
