Junior Tax Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Tax Accountant to join their growing tax compliance team. The successful candidate will support clients across various industries with routine tax compliance requirements while developing their technical knowledge and gaining practical experience under the guidance of senior team members.

What is expected of you?

• Assist with the preparation of income tax computations, Malta income tax returns, tax refund claims and other relevant tax documentation
• Support the submission of accurate tax filings within the required regulatory deadlines
• Assist the tax team with tax-related transactions and provide guidance on compliance matters under senior supervision
• Stay informed of changes in Malta tax legislation to support accurate compliance work and informed client advice
• Liaise with Malta tax authorities on behalf of clients
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in line with the firm's values

What are you expected to bring?

• An ACCA qualification, or ongoing studies towards ACCA or an equivalent qualification
• At least two years of experience in an accounting-focused role
• Previous experience in Malta tax compliance would be considered an advantage
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to accuracy
• A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a commitment to professional development
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
